Vrtba garden
Italian-style baroque terrace garden situated on the slope of Petrin Hill between palaces of Lesser Town just under the Prague castle was built for Jan Josef, Count of Vrtba, and the Highest Burgrave of Prague Castle in 1715 - 1720. Frantisek Maxmilian Kanka, the designer of the garden, cooperated in the creation of this unique place with sculptor Matyas Bernard Braun. His statues and sculpture decorations together with frescoes of painter Vaclav Vavrinec Reiner and great plant composition put the finishing touches to the place. Unique terrace layout of the garden offers breathtaking view over the whole Prague; all famous Prague monuments create a wonderful background for your wedding photographs.
